A necklace, which is an article of beauty and elegance, can also be good for our health and well being. The Magnetic Therapy Necklace makes use of magnetic materials that have been known to have a positive effect in our bodies. This is due to the materials that are imbued with natural energy, which stimulates our bodily functions. Wearing a Magnetic Therapy Necklace does not only adorn the body or complete an outfit, but it also promotes good health.
Magnetic therapy uses the healing benefits of magnetic energy fields. It is a form of alternative medicine that has been in practice since hundreds of years ago. Nowadays, one way of incorporating it into modern living and the contemporary times is in the form of objects that can be worn on the body. They are made of naturally sourced materials, including copper, lodestone, tungsten, and hematite, to name a few. These materials exhibit a unique luster when polished. Not only are they fashioned into a Magnetic Therapy Necklace, there are also bracelets, earrings, rings, and even blankets. As a piece of jewelry, the necklace can be combined with semi-precious stones and other materials to create a fashion accessory. Since a Magnetic Therapy Necklace has to be worn regularly, isn’t it a great idea to have it designed as a piece of accessory? There are different shades of silver, gray, and chrome for you to choose from. The designs and styles can suit either men or women, or both.
Magnetic jewelry come at a more affordable price compared to fine jewelry. It is quite easy to use the necklace and to keep it looking good as new all the time. You only have to clean it with water and mild soap when necessary. It is not recommended to use regular jewelry cleaners or solutions. The material itself does not gather dust or dirt, so it is easy to wipe off and clean. The necklace is usually made by hand, so quality is assured. You can expect to use it over and over for a long period of time.
First time users are advised to wear the Magnetic Therapy Necklace at all times. Those who have used the necklace are reportedly felt an improvement in their condition. It has been reported to help relieve an individual from body aches and pains, arthritis, and migraines. It has also been noted to improve blood circulation and increase your overall energy as the body is relieved from stress. The body can react differently, so some may see a positive effect in just a few days, while others may take weeks to experience the benefits.
Knowing about the health benefits of the necklace is good as an alternative way of promoting one’s health. You may have friends and family members who seem to constantly complain about body aches and pains. You can introduce them to the healing energy of a Magnetic Therapy Necklace. This is a non invasive way of stimulating your body’s natural ability to repair, heal, and to get back in good condition.

People generally do not give proper attention to their health and do not maintain a healthy lifestyle which results in many problems like obesity, high blood pressure, weakness, fatigue, sleeping disorders, bowel disorders and so on. The list of diseases is endless and the main cause of all these problems is lack of awareness and proper care. A bit of proper care regarding Health And Wellness will solve most of the health related problems people face on a daily basis.

Maintaining a good health is very important and the Health and Wellness can be achieved by controlling the food habits a mild stretching exercise for at least half an hour in the morning and after returning from work in the evening. Exercise does not mean the one which body builders do. It can be achieved by even a brisk walk, cycling or even meditation. These things do wonders and the exercise needs to be supported by a healthy diet which does not include much of carbohydrate and trans-fat foods. A good health is essential for both men and women.

Women specially need a good care for Health And Wellness as they have to do lots of things on a daily basis and they do not get enough nutrition, they are bound to suffer from many diseases. The lack of vitamins and minerals in their regular diet create lots of physical problems as vitamins and minerals are very essential for a proper functioning of body. Quality vitamins even help the women in keeping their ageing effects at a distance and many women in the world take good quality and costly vitamins to achieve this. Before going for vitamins, one has to consult a physician as the physician will be able to understand the body and the functionality of body organs before prescribing the right vitamin supplement. Use of fresh vegetables and fruits are rich in vitamins and minerals and they help in keeping the body in a good shape. A proper dose of nutrients like amino acids and antioxidants are also essential.

A periodical checkup is also necessary in maintaining Health And Wellness as it helps in early detection of any prevailing ailment which is useful in eradication of the same before it becomes uncontrollable.

Coffee and other caffeinated beverages may give you the temporary boost that you think you may need to get you through the rest of the day, but too much of it can leave you feeling agitated, and it can disrupt the good night of rest that is needed to begin the next day feeling fresh and alert.
Do you need a little mid-day boost? Most people look forward to the coffee break! Coffee and other caffeinated beverages may give you the temporary boost that you think you may need to get you through the rest of the day, but too much of it can leave you feeling agitated, and it can disrupt the good night of rest that is needed to begin the next day feeling fresh and alert. In recent years, coffee alternatives have hit the market; high-powered caffeine drinks, some that contain the caffeine of five cups of coffee! Studies have shown however, that caffeine may not be the best energy-boost after all. Caffeinated teas and soft drinks as an alternative to coffee are still not the answer when one still has a few hours left of the workday, and the midday doldrums set in. Do not fret. Here are a few sumptuous snacks that are tasty and refreshing, and that can give you the energy boost that is needed to remain alert and focused.

Let us try a healthier and more refreshing approach. Nature has provided everything that you need to restore your energy and focus. It is as inexpensive and as readily available as the cup of java that is brewing in the break-room. It requires little to no preparation, and it leaves no mess to clean up, no cups to wash, it is easy on the nervous system, and it is nutritious as well as delicious. “What? There is something better than coffee?” you ask. Yes, friends, apples, bananas, and peanut butter! One small apple or a sliced banana with a tbsp of peanut butter contains only about 100 calories or 15g of carbohydrates, and gives you the energy that you need to get through that tough period in the day.

Hummus spread on four whole grain crackers can pack quite a wallop since the crackers’ carbohydrates and the fiber found in hummus are some of nature’s greatest energy boosters. It tastes great, and it can relieve the hunger pangs that may cause you to eat a large lunch that can leave you feeling listless and lazy.

Dried fruit and nuts are rich in fiber, and they help to produce that last little energy boost that is needed around the last few hours of a hectic workday. It is easily stored in a little baggie in your briefcase or purse and can be enjoyed while commuting to your next appointment, or even discreetly at your desk.

Protein, grains, and fruit can go a long way in helping to boost your midday energy levels so you may want to take 6 oz of plain lowfat yogurt and add in a tsp of granola and a few berries or slices of banana. Once again this food combination will go a long way in carrying you through the rest of your day with ease.

Cellulite, a term coined in the 1920’s, describes a problem associated with skin topography. It is harmless but yet a problem, for it causes much embarrassment for many. When fat or lipid collects in fat cells, the enlarged cells group together and bulge out exerting pressure and dispersing and distorting connective tissues underneath the skin. This gives the skin a puckered, dimply, nodular and orange peel-like appearance. People of all ages can develop cellulite. Both men and women can fall prey to cellulite. But cellulite is more evident in women than in men, for in women, the distribution of fat cells or adipose tissue and connective tissue, differs from that in men. Buttocks, thighs, hip, breasts, legs, stomach and upper arms are zones where cellulite deposits usually occur. Cellulite deposits are similar to any other fat. The factors influencing cellulite development may be listed as follows:
1. Heredity
2. Obesity
3. Stress
4. Smoking
5. Alcoholism
6. Pregnancy
7. Harsh massages
8. Hormonal fluctuations
9. Faulty food habit
10. Sedentary lifestyle
11. Aging
12. Skin thickness
13. Amount and distribution of body fat
Home Remedies for Cellulite
1. Massaging cellulite zones with a mixture of equal parts of coconut oil and almond oil is an effective home remedy for cellulite.
2. Caffeine application on cellulite areas shrinks the deposits.
3. Massage with essential oils like rosemary and cedar wood is very good for curing cellulite problem.
4. Olive oil also serves as an effective rub to eradicate this problem. Castor oil massage also yields good results.
5. Mix 10 ml apple cider vinegar in to 200 ml water and pour a teaspoon of honey in to the mixture. Drink in empty stomach. This is an effective cellulite cure.
6. Knead a mixture of 3 parts of apple cider vinegar and any massage oil on to the affected region. This helps to get rid of cellulite.
7. Exercises like swimming, jogging, light stretching and free hand exercises, work-outs in gym cause cellulites to disappear.
8. Consume low fat, low carbohydrate, high nutrient and fiber rich diet. This is an effective cellulite treatment.
9. Feasting on grapefruit diet cures cellulite.
10. Drink 8-10 glasses of water to put an end to cellulite.
11. Simple kneading of cellulite zones twice daily tackles well the problem of cellulite.
12. Intake of fish oil treats cellulite effectively.
13. Smoking, alcoholism, caffeine intake, junk food should be strictly avoided.
14. Brushing of skin with gentle circular strokes disperses cellulite.
15. Meditation, listening to music, asanas should be practiced to relieve stress, because stress contributes to cellulite development.
16. Ginko biloba extracts are useful in treating cellulite.

If you ask most Americans whether wellness is important,
most will agree. Parents will usually say that family health
is one of their major concerns. Yet most are rather ignorant
about nutrition information. Blame our public education
system, false or misleading reporting, and ads, ads, ads.

Recent news increasingly reports that obesity is epidemic in
the United States, and that it is the major cause of early
death, after tobacco. Yet the solution is really simple.

It used to be that people who claimed the simple life is the
key to anti aging would be met with a big yawn, or strong
doubt, or rude noises. Now, such reliable sources of health
information as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
are saying that good diet and moderate exercise really are
the keys to long life.

The same ad blasters who helped get us into health troubles
are eager to sell us pills, potions, books, quack cures that
dance all around the truth. After all, folks really want
magic bullets to fix problems, so they won’t have to take
responsibility for the consequences of their own choices.
It’s not the merchants’ fault if they get rich off public
stupidity. Or is it?

People, WAKE UP!

America is a country in which even the poor people are FAT.
History tells us that this is a very unusual situation.

It is a principle of physics that matter-energy can neither
be created nor destroyed. Therefore, if our weight exceeds
the medical ideal, it can ONLY be from consuming more
calories than we need. The only healthy solution is to be
more careful of what we eat, and to increase our exercise.
Drugs or surgery to cheat on this equation are life
threatening. Wild claims to “turn up your fat burners” are
total NONSENSE, even though some of the “experts” telling
this are physicians and nutritionists who really should know
better.

One advantage of wise food choices is that we can eat as
much as we want and still not get fat. Another is that good
diet can help protect us against common scary diseases that
can lower quality of life and cause early death.

“Low Carb diets” are a red herring. Taking the hamburger out
of the bun, but keeping the fatty meat and oily toppings, is
utter madness.

The other part of the story is that even easy exercise can
stimulate the body to health, help prevent those scary
diseases, and make us feel better, while helping us to live
longer.
* If you don’t like army calisthenics, at least walk
1 to 2 miles a day, 5 to 7 days a week.
* If back pain or shoulder aches plague you, do some simple
exercise routines at home, workplace, or while walking.
* Head off wrist problems by frequent breaks to stretch them
in all directions.
* If you don’t have time or money for a gym membership, buy
a twelve foot piece of rope for isometrics and skipping.

“We don’t stop exercising because we get old. We get old
because we stop exercising.”

The CDC tells us that 7 out of 10 deaths are caused by
chronic diseases, 1.7 million per year in the USA, and that
these early deaths can be prevented by good diet and easy
exercise. We can save billions of dollars per year just from
good diet and moderate exercise. Now that’s a bargain!

There are many different ways to choose a family doctor but there are five major mistakes that people often end up making. By avoiding these common errors you will not only find a terrific healthcare provider for your immediate needs but you will also have a professional that will be of service to you and your family for the long term. When this type of relationship builds there is a greater sense of trust and comfort on the part of the patient and a greater understanding of each family member’s health needs by the physician.
Fail to Choose
One of the biggest mistakes that people make is to not actually make a choice at all. These are the people that tend to use the emergency service clinics for all their medical needs. While the doctors at these clinics are highly skilled and very qualified they are typically on a rotation meaning that you may never see the same doctor twice. This prevents a sense of confidence and trust between the patient and the doctor from developing, plus the doctor doesn’t often have a comprehensive view of the family health history and current health issues.
Choose By Proximity
Another common mistake in selecting a family doctor is to simply choose a professional that is close to your home neighborhood. A doctor that is conveniently located is a big plus but if he or she isn’t a good match for your needs then the convenience factor is really irrelevant. Typically there are several doctors located in small towns to larger suburbs or downtown core areas, shopping around to find a doctor in your neighbor is often just a quick internet search away.
Other Recommendations
Selecting a doctor based completely on someone else’s recommendation is also potentially problematic. Not all families and individuals have the same needs, so a referral is a good starting point but it is still important to meet with the doctor and do some additional research before deciding if they are a good physician for your family.
Not Doing Your Research
Failure to research the family doctor or doctors that you are considering is also a very common mistake. All doctors have to be licensed in the areas of medicine that they practice, and in maintaining that license they have to agree to follow strict professional guidelines in treating and working with patients. When doctors violate these guidelines the licensing board can impose sanctions and restrictions on the professional.
Know Your Doctor’s Specialty
The last mistake that is often made when selecting a family physician is to fail to research the professional’s areas of experience and expertise. Many doctors have specializations in working with different groups such as seniors or children or with expecting mothers in addition to a solid basic medical training foundation. There are yet other family specialists that focus in on diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, heart and circulatory disease or respiratory problems such as allergies and asthma. By choosing a general family physician that also has a specialization in an area of concern in your family you can develop comprehensive preventative programs and also be kept up to date on the latest research and findings.
Getting the right match between a family doctor and your needs isn’t as simple as choosing a name off the Internet or out of the phone book. The good news is that with just a few simple questions and a bit of research you can ensure that the doctor you select will be the physician you and your family can continue to see for years.

Remember, the diet resolution for healthy meals begins having a well-defined strategy.

It seems pretty hard to be fit over 40, doesn’t it?

Well, I could tell you about people like Kelly Nelson and Morjoie Newlin, two female bodybuilders. They’re not your typical bodybuilders. Kelly Nelson first began training with weights in the early 1980’s at age 53 and was still competing in the 21st century in her late 70’s…in a bikini…and lookin’ good if I may say so! Morjorie Newlin was in HER 70’s before a 50 pound bag of cat litter convinced her that if she didn’t do something, old age was going to be a difficult time. That’s when she began a fitness training program that included weightlifting. Morjorie Newlin was participating in bodybuilding competitions, and winning, in her 80’s! Same comment…in a bikini and lookin’ good.

Now, obviously, these are special ladies who put in a lot of extra effort to accomplish some specific goals, but it does make a point. Life…and fitness…does not have to end at 40. Both of these ladies STARTED their fitness careers after age 40. Kelly Nelson was 53 and Morjorie Newlin was 72. Years later, both were still active in their chosen fitness areas and still enjoying life as well as, or better than, many in their 30’s or 40’s.

Fitness over 40? Heck, all around the globe, people in their 80’s are skiing, hiking, canoeing, biking. Some, not so adventurous, are lifting weights or sweatin’ along with Richard Simmons. Some are black belts in Karate, and some quietly and calmly practice yoga or tai-chi.

As easy as this sounds, fitness over 40 requires regular performance of the proper exercises. Just as in our 30’s or 40’s, sitting in the easy chair, clicking the remote, doing 16 ounce curls with a Miller Lite just doesn’t cut it. However, it is not necessary to pack up and head for the gym and try to keep up with the hardbody cuties, either. It IS necessary to pick an exercise program or physical activity, combine that with some healthy eating habits…AND STICK TO IT!

Even over 40, the benefits normally associated with a regular, moderate exercise program will kick in, but for seniors, some benefits are of special importance.

People over 40 tend to break bones, usually from falling.

As we age, bones weaken, as do muscles. We lose some of our proprioception, the perception of stimuli relating to a person’s own position, posture, equilibrium, or internal condition. Our ability to react quickly to a loss of balance, whatever the source, or to avoid an obstacle or actual peril becomes diminished.

Exercise helps bones stay strong and exercises such as weightlifting and other resistance training help your body maintain balance and stability. Weight bearing and resistance exercises assist the body in maintaining proprioception by improving the connections and conditions of the muscles and their anchoring in bone. This training also triggers the reconditioning of the signaling system from body to brain which allows the brain to realize the danger and transmit the appropriate signals to muscles which can react to correct the situation. Weightlifting and resistance exercises can help give your muscles the strength and agility to respond to those signals if you are tripped, off balance, or in other peril requiring quick reaction.

People over 40 begin to lose their zest for living and experience more health crises.

Part of this is due to normal changes that take place as we grow older. Our bodies get thicker and lose the gracefulness of youth. Things seem to become heavier and harder to move, and we begin to feel aches and pains that often accompany aging. Some of those aches and pains may be due to arthritis, and other ills may also attack us as we seem to become prey to every passing cold or other social ailment, and also see some deadlier or more debilitating conditions crop up in our age group, if not in ourselves.

Regular exercise comes to the rescue here as well. It can help with weight loss, or it can help with weight management once we get to our appropriate weight. Regular, moderate exercise can keep joints supple, in many cases even joints under attack by arthritis. I know about this as I have been afflicted with fairly severe osteoarthritis for several years and manage to keep myself active and the condition somewhat under control by my own exercise activities. Exercise also strengthens the immune system, which helps us avoid or fight off the normal bacterial and viral infections which seem to come our way and which often seem to wreak havoc on the older population.

Even better; regular, moderate exercise seems to be somewhat effective in helping ward off such common companions of aging as high blood pressure, type II diabetes, and even some forms of cancer.

What exercise program is beneficial for fitness over 40?

In the first analysis, almost any physical activity which gets your heart rate up, makes you breathe more deeply than normal, and which challenges muscles beyond their normal range of activity is going to be on the list. There are people in their 80’s hiking mountain trails, water skiing, playing softball, weightlifting (as pointed out earlier), or even cheerleading. It is NOT necessary to take out a membership in a local gym, hire a personal trainer, or invest in a lot of exercise equipment and apparel…unless that helps get you motivated. Anything from walking, to swimming, to yoga, to weightlifting will generally fill the bill. There are, however, some simple points to think about.

1. Get your doctor’s approval first. “Nuff said?

2. Pick an activity, or even a group of activities, which you will enjoy doing. Don’t be afraid to try something new…take some classes in yoga, tai chi, or even karate. Maybe you will feel better in a certain amount of solitude and just want to pick up a set of weights and exercise in the privacy of your home. Perhaps the idea of biking around the neighborhood or even around other parts of the country appeals to you. If this is a new set of decisions, realize that you may try a few things at first that just don’t pan out for one reason or another. Keep experimenting until you find what is right for you. You are STILL exercising, right?

3. Put some variation into your exercise.

Any exercise cannot itself provide the three basic types of exercise needed. We need exercises which will stretch muscles and joints, exercises which strengthen muscle, and exercises which improve our cardiovascular fitness. This is not really hard to do, however, and should not take a lot of time out of your life, particularly when you consider how much it will put back into your life. As one example, you could do a simple weight or resistance training for strength two or three times a week, some sort of low-impact aerobics or walking for cardio on other days, and do some simple stretching exercises every day. None of these workout periods needs to be more than about 30 minutes, although a little more time and effort may produce better benefits, particularly once you have trained up to a level where your body is comfortable meeting the demands you place on it.

You are more likely to stay on a physical fitness regimen if you enjoy it. However, things do tend to get stale over time. It doesn’t hurt to vary your approach from time to time in either the manner in which you do certain exercises, or by varying the exercises themselves. While not exact equals, for example, swimming, biking, and walking can be somewhat interchangeable as part of your fitness routine. In some cases, simply varying the environment, i.e. taking a walk in the park or botanical gardens as opposed your neighborhood may be all the variation you need to feel like you have put a little zing into your day-to-day workout existence.

4. Start off easy. At any age, a common reason for failure to stay on ANY exercise program is that people tend to try to do too much at first and try to progress too fast. Whatever you choose, your body needs time to adjust to the new demands being made on it, and results will never come overnight.

5. Don’t stop. Probably the most important aspect of any exercise program, or any other self-improvement program, is the commitment to what you know you should be doing day after day. A haphazard approach to your exercise program is detrimental at any stage in your life. After 40, however, making sure you get your regular dose of anti-aging exercise is incredibly important.

6. Eat healthy. I try to avoid the use of the word “diet”, and often substitute the term “healthy eating” instead. Diets don’t work and can even work against you. They are difficult to stay on and take a major portion of fun out of life instead of making life better. Healthy eating choices will do the trick if you make them a regular part of your life.

While fitness over 40 can demand some of your time and attention that you might not want to surrender to it, the rewards in overall health, fitness, and enjoyment of life will far outweigh any investment you put into it.

Getting in shape and losing weight has been the most popular New
Years Resolution since they invented the calendar. The busiest
month for new memberships in any health club is always January.
If you page through any newspaper during the holiday season, you
are bound to see several advertisements which capitalize on the
New Years Resolution obsession.

Sad Fact: 84% of the people who make this promise never follow
through!

Why?

Because the majority of the people that make this promise have
not truly made the decision to get in shape.

Making The Decision

It took me over nine years to finally make the decision. At my
heaviest, I weighed 293 lbs. I must have told my wife 500 times,
“I’m going to get in shape, I’ll start on Monday”. Well, 500
Mondays came and went, I did absolutely nothing, and I was still
as big as a house! I finally made the decision standing naked in
front of the bathroom mirror. It was a scary sight. I couldn’t
believe how fat I was! When I was young, I was always in great
shape. After I got married I started working 70 hours a week,
didn’t find time to exercise, ate the wrong foods, drank too much
beer, and over a nine year period of time, gained about 100
lbs.!

I was sick and tired of the way I looked and felt, and the
negative effects that being obese was having on my life. Simple
everyday things like tying my shoes or climbing a flight of
stairs, were suddenly a challenge.

Getting in shape has a positive ripple effect into every aspect
of your life. When you look better, you feel better about
yourself. Your self-esteem and sense of dignity improve, your
relationships improve, you will have more energy and motivation
than you know what to do with. Most importantly, your health
returns and your quality of life improves. There is nothing more
important than your health: ignore it, and it will go away.

Do you want to get in shape, or do you need to get in shape.
There is a big difference. You have to need to get in shape. It
has to be your #1 priority. Get obsessed!

Who are the most important people in your life? Imagine that
they are kidnapped, and the ransom note addressed to you reads,
“You have 6 months to get in shape, and if you don’t, you’ll
never see them again!”

If you knew you were locked in a room with only 20 minutes of
oxygen left, you wouldn’t walk over, try the door once and then
give up. They’d find me slumped over in front of the door with
no finger nails left!

It’s amazing the feats you can accomplish if you need to. Do you
want to get in shape, or do you need to?

10 Tips For Lifelong Weight Management

You must respect the power that your eating and exercise habits
have on your health and appearance. We will provide you with the
skills and knowledge needed to change your attitude toward food
and exercise which will lead to lifelong weight management and
good health.

1. Eat Breakfast: necessary to jump start your metabolism
2. Smaller Main Meals: less stress on the digestive system
3. Snack: keeps your metabolism in high gear
4. Portion Control: it may not be what you’re eating, but more
likely how much
5. Eat more fruits and vegetables: loaded with stomach filling,
non-digested fiber
6. Eat when your hungry: not for other reasons; stress, boredom,
anger, etc.
7. Don’t focus on the scale: muscle weighs more than fat and
takes up less space
8. Don’t deprive yourself: taste your favorite “treats” on
occasion
9. Exercise: remarkably speeds up your metabolism and weight loss
10. Visualize Success: see yourself healthy and happy with your
Appearance
Good luck with the new year everyone.
